We completed supervised training and precision cutting exercises with my students in May 2026. The Saw arrived disassembled and required assembly and other components to be ordered which included:

1) The Table Saw

2) The Dust Colection Rail

3) The Extended Blade Guard

4) Dust Vacuum

5) Wood Planer

 

Students were able to learn safety practices relating to cutting tools in a wood working shop and successfully operated the table saw under my supervision. We were able to avert a common challenge of having inconsistent outcomes during our projects and this saw was designed to alleviate common errors with boards getting cut too short or too long.

For future classes, I will ensure we purchase the table top cleaning solvent designed to properly clean the machine. I discovered this when I spoke with a "Saw Stop" representative about cleaning and maintenance. I will also cover cleaning and maintenance of the table saw with future classes.

 

The decision to purchase a Wood Planer was influenced by the Students. They expressed their need to be able to smoothen out rouch lumber pieces during pre-production, so we bought a DeWalt Planer and used it for a project for our school. One of the offices needed an additional piece of furniture and that helped us build one without blemish and splinetrs.
