This grant helped us bring in a variety of hands-on tools, games, and classroom items that make learning easier to understand and more enjoyable for students. We added fun math and reading games that help students practice skills like counting, spelling, and sounding out words. Instead of only using paper and pencil, students can now learn by playing games, working with classmates, and trying things out for themselves. This makes learning feel exciting and helps students stay interested and involved. We also purchased materials like large sticky chart paper, dry erase boards, and word-building charts. These help me teach lessons in a clear, visual way so students can see and practice what they are learning step by step. Because many of these materials can be reused, students feel more comfortable making mistakes and trying again, which is an important part of learning.

In addition, we improved our classroom space with items like a bookshelf, flexible seating, and calming supports such as weighted stuffed animals and soft lighting. These help students feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn. For some students, these supports make a big difference in helping them stay calm and engaged throughout the day. This grant has made our classroom a more welcoming, fun, and effective place to learn. Students are more excited to participate, more confident in their abilities, and more willing to try new things.
