PROPOSAL INFORMATION

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The goal of this project is to provide a safe, comfortable, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for my Pre-K students by purchasing new tables, chairs, and cubbies for storing students’ rest-time blankets. Having appropriately sized furniture will help students comfortably participate in classroom activities while promoting independence, organization, and positive classroom routines.

PLEASE DESCRIBE HOW YOU WILL DETERMINE IF THE PROJECT OBJECTIVES ARE ACHIEVED SUCCESSFULLY:

● Provide each of my students with access to appropriately sized tables and chairs that support learning, eating, centers, and small-group activities.

● Create a more organized and sanitary storage system for students’ rest-time blankets through individual cubby spaces.

● Promote student independence by giving children designated spaces for their personal belongings.

● Improve the overall classroom environment so students can safely and comfortably engage in daily learning activities.

PROVIDE A SCHEDULE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF YOUR PROPOSED PROJECT:

Project Implementation Schedule

Phase 1 – Purchase and Preparation:
Once funding is approved, the tables, chairs, and blanket cubbies will be ordered. Classroom space will be evaluated to determine the safest and most effective arrangement for the new furniture.

Phase 2 – Classroom Setup:
Upon delivery, the furniture will be assembled and arranged in the classroom. Each student will be assigned a designated chair and blanket storage space. Tables will be positioned to support whole-group instruction, small-group activities, centers, meals, and classroom routines.

Phase 3 – Student Introduction and Teaching:
Students will be introduced to the new furniture and taught how to safely use the tables and chairs. They will also learn how to independently place, retrieve, and care for their blankets using their assigned cubby spaces.

Phase 4 – Ongoing Implementation:
The new furniture and storage system will be used throughout the school year. Classroom routines will reinforce independence, organization, responsibility, and proper care of the materials.

Phase 5 – Evaluation:
Throughout the school year, student independence, classroom organization, transitions, engagement, and appropriate use of the furniture will be monitored. Adjustments will be made as needed to ensure the project continues to meet the needs of all students.
