The grant from the LPS Foundation allowed us to purchase a die-cut machine along with a wide variety of cutouts, shapes, letters, and classroom materials that can be used across all grade levels in our elementary school.

While that may sound simple, these tools have made a meaningful difference in how our students learn each day. Elementary students learn best when they can see, touch, and interact with what they’re being taught. The die-cut machine allows teachers to quickly create colorful, hands-on materials like letter cards for reading, math manipulatives for counting and problem-solving, science visuals, and interactive bulletin boards that reinforce key concepts.

Before this, creating these materials took a significant amount of time or wasn’t always possible. Now, teachers can focus more on instruction and less on preparation, which means students get more engaging and thoughtfully designed lessons.

This grant also helps us better support all types of learners. Some students need visual supports, while others learn best through movement and hands-on activities. The materials we can now create make learning more accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable for every child.

Beyond academics, these resources help build confidence and excitement. When students see bright, engaging visuals and can actively participate in lessons, they are more likely to stay focused, take risks, and feel successful.

In short, this grant has helped us turn everyday lessons into interactive learning experiences, and that has a lasting impact on student growth. We are incredibly grateful to the LPS Foundation and its donors for investing in tools that directly support both our teachers and our students.
