This grant has allowed us to create a hands-on, engaging learning environment where my students can build their academic skills through play. Materials like alphabet and number manipulatives, sensory bin filling, dramatic play items, and puzzles support early literacy, math development, and fine motor growth. In addition, tools such as weighted blankets, weighted vests, and noise-canceling headphones help students regulate their bodies, maintain focus, and feel safe and supported in the classroom. These resources encourage active participation, strengthen problem-solving skills, and support a wide range of learning styles, leading to increased engagement and stronger academic outcomes for all learners.
