The incubator and brooder purchased with the funds allowed my class to learn about how chickens get their start in life. They became engaged and learned each step in the developmental process as each day passed. Once the chicks hatched not only my class, but all the classes in the building were able to come and visit the baby chicks along with an adult chicken brought in by myself to learn more about chicks and their full life cycle more in depth. This grant provided our students with a once in a lifetime experience they will hopefully always remember.
