2021 Larry Freeman “Friends in Need” Recipients
This week, Lawton Public School Foundation was proud to bless nine elementary schools with funds graciously provided via the Larry K. Freeman endowment. Each year, the proceeds of this endowment allow us to provide 2 seniors a scholarship to a technical school or university, while also providing funds to select schools in our district to meet the students’ needs. This year, our recipients were:
- Almor West Elementary
- Carriage Hills Elementary
- Crosby Park Elementary
- Edison Elementary
- Eisenhower Elementary
- Hugh Bish Elementary
- Pioneer Park Elementary
- Sullivan Village Elementary
- Whittier Elementary
“I can already think of so many ways to spend this money,” said Hailey Crow, principal of Whittier Elementary. “I have a student that desperately needs glasses.”
Leaving an endowment is a wonderful way to give back to LPS Foundation or a charity of your choice – it’s truly a gift that keeps on giving, and we’re so grateful.
