The project, “Expansion of Physical Education Equipment for Gateway Success Center Students” is to continue the acquisition of physical education equipment made available to Gateway students and an expansion of the activities offered to our students enrolled in the Gateway program. The grant we received of $1200 allowed us to purchase two volleyball(standards). These items have been used to teach students the rules of the game of volleyball and proper form of the skills necessary to play the game of volleyball. Students have learned to work as a team and to encourage each other while engaging in physical activity. Students have learned how to properly take care of the athletic equipment.
